Description
The Old Town of Rhodes, in the Greek Isles, is a remarkably preserved and exquisite medieval city. The massive walls, the bustling squares, the palaces and the rather stern, straight streets, all built of glowing golden stone, are a legacy of the crusading Knights. The Ottoman left mosques, Turkish baths and a very oriental-feeling bazaar area. In Mandhraki, the ancient harbour, the Colossos of Rhodes once stood.
