Out of the Wilderness Time Lapse

Sorry for the delay posting this video. I was having some technical difficulties getting it to load and now I think we have things straightened out. I started this painting a few weeks ago. This six minute video covers the first few hours of painting. I hope that you enjoy this! Additional time lapse videos will be coming the next several days, so check back.

Let me know if you have any questions about what I’m doing. I would love to hear from you!

  1. When you are painting His face/hair what is it that you keep looking over at for reference?

  2. Watching you paint is so truly awe inspiring. Do you have the picture in your head to work from? I know that when I write a poem, I write, re-write, edit and then re-write some more…but you do it in one effort….no real room for mistakes.

  3. Absolutely AMAZING!!! I love seeing you look from your canvas to the reference material so much when painting the Savior’s face! That was great! hahaha Can’t wait to see this painting’s progression!

  4. Great command of the paintbrush, Greg. Great command of the gift God has given you. It reminds me of the parable of the talents. Thank you for sharing this with us!

  5. Why do you not have the tassel’s Jesus had on his outer garments, they are so
beatiful, blue cord that is in the corner’s of his garment. It was for real thing with
    all Jewish rabbi’s..
