Teton Crossing

I love to take time on a regular basis to get out into the rural farmland or the mountain back country to walk where my feet actually touch Mother Earth and not just wall to wall carpeting or the sidewalk. I like to kick some real dirt and smell things you miss out on when you're always indoors. I like to look at rocks and trees and wonder how long they've been there. I like to climb hills and look down at villages or valleys below. I like to let the sun shine on me and think. After one of these little excursions I always return refreshed with a little better perspective on things. My old surroundings are seen in a fresh new light and I feel somehow reoriented. I see more clearly where I'm at in relationship to the rest of the world. Funny how I'm not at the center of it after all!
